Tammy Pickering

Tammy is an experienced Senior Leader and Trust Lead with a proven track record of improving literacy outcomes across primary, secondary and alternative provision settings. With a Master’s degree in Inclusion and extensive experience in school improvement, she is passionate about ensuring every child has access to high-quality teaching to become a confident, fluent reader. Tammy has successfully led Trust-wide literacy initiatives, including the implementation of systematic synthetic phonics, reading fluency and oracy programmes, and supports leaders and teachers through coaching, professional development and evidence-informed school improvement. She is driven by the belief that strong literacy skills provide the foundation for lifelong learning and future success.
