Join our short online Information Briefings to find out more about the following 2026-27 CPD programmes:
Supporting Early Language Development
10th June 13:00-13:30
This CPD programme, delivered over 3 days across the year plus conference, offers in-depth professional development on early language pedagogy for children aged 4 to 11.
Participants will secure a strong understanding of typical language development milestones and gain practical strategies for high-quality teaching in YR and KS1. The programme also supports early identification and effective provision for pupils not developing language skills as expected.
Strong Foundations: Early Literacy
10th June 14:30-15:00
Our new Fundamentals of Literacy in the Early Years Programme is currently being developed by the DfE, focusing on the foundations of early literacy and language. Funded through the Best Start in Life initiative, it will support schools to strengthen early provision and work towards 75% of children achieving a Good Level of Development.
Full details are still to be confirmed, but we will share more at the briefing and keep schools updated. We anticipate this will be a highly sought-after CPD offer.
Reading Ambition for All
10th June 15:00-15:30
A research-informed programme designed to support children who are not yet reading at age-related expectations, particularly those with SEND. It focuses on teaching through phonics, with opportunities to rehearse and refine strategies you may already use. The programme also provides practical guidance for adapting your SSP programme and explores strategies to develop fluency and comprehension, building confidence in assessing, planning, and teaching reading for all learners.
KS2 Fluency: The Bridge to Comprehension
10th June 13:30-14:00
Reading fluency is key to reading success, bridging word recognition and comprehension. This CPD programme, split over 3 days, supports teachers to build on pupils’ phonics foundations and develop confident, competent readers. It is not an intervention and is designed to complement any existing reading programme. Delegates will explore what fluency is (and isn’t), and apply strategies in Key Stage 2 classrooms to support volitional reading and strengthen current practice.
Primary: Transforming Your School’s Reading Culture
10th June 14:00-14:30
Join the TSRC Programme – a research-informed CPD course for Primary English Leads. It includes 3 full CPD days, focused on leadership and reading for pleasure.
Participants complete practical tasks between sessions and are expected to attend all events. Strengthen your leadership. Transform your school’s reading culture.
NEW! Secondary: Transforming Your School’s Reading Culture
