We are excited to announce that, Ann Sullivan, an experienced Specialist Leader in Education will be delivering two bespoke webinars for Yorkshire Endeavour English Hub. It is a requirement that staff attend both sessions of the training.

Session 1 – Learning to Read - What do we teach our pupils with more than mild SEND?

• Why do teachers in mainstream schools need to understand how to meet the needs of pupils with moderate to severe and complex needs?• Why do teacher is special schools need support to teach phonics?• What do we teach pupils with moderate to severe and complex needs when we teach them to read and spell?

About Ann Sullivan

Ann has experience of working in a mainstream secondary school, working as a teacher in a special school, a SENCO and an advisory teacher for SEND. She is also the author of Phonics for Pupils with Special Educational Needs programme published by Speechmark Routledge in 2018. Currently, Ann Sullivan works as a literacy consultant focusing on pupils with moderate to severe and complex needs.
